This role presents a unique opportunity to shape Canary’s brand’s identity and narrative, influencing their trajectory in a rapidly evolving industry.

What You’ll Do

  1. Develop and execute comprehensive media relations strategies, including press releases, media pitches, and securing industry awards and speaking engagements.
  2. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key journalists, bloggers, and influencers in the hospitality and technology.
  3. Manage the company’s social media channels, including content creation, scheduling, engagement, and community management.
  4. Contribute to content creation efforts by writing blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, email newsletters, and other marketing collateral as needed.
  5. Establish a strong presence on key third-party platforms such as HotelTechReport and other marketplaces.
  6. Continually maintain and update our library of on-brand messaging, collaborating with cross-functional teams for consistent messaging.
  7. Conduct market research to identify industry trends and competitor activities, providing insights to improve our brand reach.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in content marketing and media relations, ideally with a focus on B2B marketing.
  • A Background in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in media relations, public relations, or corporate communications, preferably in the technology or hospitality industry.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
