Position Summary:
The Logistics Executive will oversee all logistics and supply chain activities, ensuring smooth customs clearing, shipment coordination, transportation, warehousing, and distribution. This role demands deep knowledge of import/export regulations and a track record of delivering timely, cost-effective logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Customs & Compliance

Handle end-to-end customs clearance for imports and exports

Ensure compliance with customs regulations and accurate documentation (e.g., Form M, PAAR, Bill of Lading)

Liaise with government agencies such as Customs, NAFDAC, SON, NESREA, etc.

Monitor HS codes, tariffs, and ensure correct duty payments
Logistics Operations

Oversee inbound/outbound logistics from port to warehouse to end customers

Implement efficient delivery schedules to reduce cost and time

Coordinate with freight forwarders, 3PLs, and transport companies

Ensure goods are properly handled, stored, and delivered
Cost & Risk Management

Track and manage logistics budgets

Prevent demurrage, excess storage, and documentation penalties

Resolve delays and shipment issues quickly
Team & Stakeholder Coordination

Supervise clearing officers, logistics coordinators, and warehouse staff

Collaborate with procurement, sales, and finance departments

Maintain strong relationships with logistics partners and customs brokers
Reporting & Documentation

Track shipment and clearance status and report regularly

Maintain detailed records of all logistics transactions and documentation

Prepare logistics performance reports for management
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field

5–7 years of hands-on logistics and customs clearing experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/logistics software

Strong knowledge of Nigerian import/export regulations

Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
-
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure

Prior experience with agencies such as NAFDAC, SON, Customs is essential
