Primary Purpose
Responsible for the overall management, strategic planning, development, evaluation, personnel, and implementation of the district’s custodial services, maintenance, transportation, and special projects as assigned.
Education/Certification
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience may be considered
Clear and valid Texas driver’s license
Special Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of basic principles of construction, school plant maintenance, and custodial operations
Ability to direct and manage operations of a large fleet of vehicles
Ability to pass U.S. Department of Transportation alcohol and drug tests and annual physical exam
Ability to conduct an on-site inspection of district facilities , vehicle repairs, and maintenance operations
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Ability to interpret data
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work irregular and extended hours
Experience
3 years of supervisory experience
5 years experience in maintaining a large plant or building
