Job Description
The Project Manager Intern reports to the Program Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of various projects. The Project Manager Intern will be a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is ready to be a driving collaborator within the Program Management Team.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Business Strategy
- Assist in the development of project plans, including defining scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements.
- Contribute to project initiation activities, including gathering and documenting project requirements.
- Support the creation of comprehensive project documentation.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure project tasks are on schedule and within scope.
- Collaborate with team members to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
- Provide administrative support to the program manager.
Performance, Metrics & Reporting
- Assist in monitoring project progress and identifying and addressing issues.
- Contribute to the organization and facilitation of team meetings and project reviews.
- Learn and apply project management methodologies.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the preparation of regular project status reports.
- Learn to identify and communicate project risks and issues.
People Management
- Assists in contact through project completion.
- Works cross-functionally and coordinates activities with supporting departments and groups.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate for the Project Manager Intern position will have the following educational background and experience:
- Progress being made towards a bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of project management.
