Title: UABOS Spain: Driver/Operator

General Duties And Responsibilities

1. Controls and extinguishes fires.
2. May drive vehicle to the fire scene following a predetermined route or selecting an alternate route when necessary.
3. Operates pumps, foam generators, boom and ground sweep nozzles, and other similar equipment.
4. Uses a variety of special protective gear in situations involving poisonous gases, radioactive materials, and hazardous biological products.
5. Performs daily preventive maintenance such as oil changes, replacing packing in pumps, draining and flushing tanks, and otherwise ensuring that all equipment is in usable condition.

Experience:

• Shall have a working knowledge of fire suppression, rescue and emergency incident techniques, operation of fire equipment, water distribution, and supply requirements.
• Shall have a working knowledge of aircraft fuel propellants, oxidizers, and weapons characteristics.

Education:

• Shall possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Shall have the ability to conduct all radio transmissions in English.

Certification:

• Shall meet position certificates IAW DOD 6055.06 M.
