Mission Objective
The Pharmacy unit aims to provide quality pharmacotherapy services, optimize patient outcomes through accurate dispensing, counseling, and inventory management, and support the organization’s mission by promoting rational drug use and ensuring access to safe, effective medications.
Duties & Responsibilities
Medication & Clinical Services

Prepare and dispense medications according to physician prescriptions.

Review prescriptions for appropriateness and legality.

Offer professional advice on cosmetics, para-pharmaceuticals, and OTCs.

Monitor patient therapy to avoid adverse effects and ensure positive outcomes.

Provide patient education, emotional support, and promote health awareness.
Operational & Regulatory

Maintain accurate pharmacy inventory and drug formulary.

Organize the pharmacy for efficiency in drug identification and stocking.

Document all prescriptions, doses, and pricing in the automated inventory system.

Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and EHA Clinics’ Code of Conduct.
Professional Development

Participate in community health programs and continuing education.

Stay updated with medical research, technology, and evidence-based practices.

Collaborate with physicians for unusual symptoms and treatment consultations.
Key Requirements
Educational Qualification
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy / MPharm / PharmD.

Minimum 2 years post-NYSC experience in Pharmacy (public or private sector).
Licensing

Must be a registered member of the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) with an active license.
