Job Purpose
To lead, inspire and motivate the ANS team to deliver the Contracts and oversee the delivery of services across all aspects of Air Navigation Services which includes Air Traffic Control, Flight Information Services, Alerting Services, Aeronautical Information Services and Engineering Services as per the agreed contract and in compliance with the GCAA regulations, ICAO standards and recommended practices, and industry best practices
Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Oversee all aspects of the Air navigation Services to effectively fulfil the contracts in accordance with the GCAA regulations, ICAO standards and recommended practices, and industry best practices whilst ensuring all contract KPIs are met, and whenever possible exceeded, and any non-compliance issues are reported to the Chief Operating Officer (COO)
- Develop and oversee the implementation of a strategy to continually improve the effectiveness and efficient delivery of contracts
- Lead the development and implementation of the long-term plans and annual plans in accordance with the contract and continually evaluate and report on the progress against the plans
- Act as the key interface with the client in order to build and maintain the ongoing client relationship(s)
- Ensure a robust mechanism is in place to provide regular reports on the contract status/delivery to both the client and GANS HQ
- Oversee delivery of all projects related contracts ensuring project resources are optimally utilised and projects are delivered on time and to budget
- Oversee preparation of annual budget and track and monitor budgetary spend reporting on any variances in a timely manner
- Oversee all aspects of the recruitment, training, development and ongoing performance management of the ANS delivery team
- Safety responsibilities and accountabilities of this position are detailed in the Safety Management Manual of the organization. The Job holder is required to maintain awareness and knowledge in relation to their safety responsibilities associated with their job function
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor`s Degree or equivalent required – MSc preferred
Professional Certifications:
- Currently the holder of, or previously held, ICAO (or equivalent) and/or UAE recognized Air Traffic Control licenses in Aerodrome Control Instrument and Approach Radar Control or an appropriate Electronic Engineering Qualification
- Formal project management qualification desirable
- ICAO English language proficiency Level 5
Experience:
- 15 years of previous contract and project management experience, including financial management, preferably within an aviation environment
- 5 years of UAE/GCC experience, years of experience
