Our Trust & Safety team’s commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

As a product manager on our Trust & Safety team, you will work with data science, policy, design, engineering, operations, and various relevant internal teams to form strategies and build features that ensure users are safe on our platform. You will need to wear a variety of hats as you work with these different teams in order to ensure project success. Travel between our global offices is expected.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance. Some content viewed may violate our community guidelines which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.

Responsibilities
– Drive complex projects independently, define product roadmap, and set success metrics for product area
– Build effective and scalable features and tools for minors to provide them with safe and enriching experiences
– Define scope, requirements, use cases, test cases, and design specifications, in partnership with UI/UX design and writing
– Analyze results of product changes with data science team to inform product roadmap and feature iterations
– Partner with program management and policy teams to guide product strategy and implementation
– Work closely with minor safety and adolescent wellness experts, as well as cross-functional partners, to ensure vertical alignment with latest industry research and insights
– Exercise resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.

Qualifications

– 5+ years of experience in product management in consumer facing mobile or web internet companies
– Ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role
– Data-driven, capable of in-depth data interpretation and utilizing data for prioritization and/or decision making
– Ability to design product solutions based on evidence; proven track record of delivering value-adding products, and/or organizational or process changes that benefit the business
– Strong project management and communication skills, able to influence and unite cross-functional teams
– Passionate about creating safe and enriching experiences for minors; Basic knowledge of online digital safety
– Up-to-date and in tune with emerging online safety issues, with keen intuition on creating solutions and preventive measures for tackling them

Preferred Qualifications
– Experience in working with international partners across different time zones and cultures
– Experience in Trust & Safety; Basic knowledge of safety by design principles
– Understanding of the landscape and new policy developments in tech industry and online safety
– Prior experience managing products with safety-related success metrics highly desirable
– Prior experience managing products related to human and/or machine-based moderation to remove harmful content highly desirable

Job Information:

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $124640 – $287280 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
